Field notes

A nonprofit asked us for a new website.

It needed three things first: a web address that matched their name, email that worked for everyone, and new photos. Here is how it went, and what they saw along the way.

One name

First we looked at what the new website needed to work. They had two web addresses, so we moved everything onto the single name people actually knew. Their Google Workspace approval had stalled, so we handled it with Google until it came through.

Safe transfer

Every email moved over safely. Each person got a secure, one-time link to share their password, and our signed commitment came with it.

On set

The site needed new photos. On the day of the shoot, our photographer worked off a shot list built straight into the custom software we made.

Clear plan

They followed along in the exact same system. From their portal, they could see all the planning leading up to the shoot, so they always knew what to expect.

They always knew what was happening and what we needed from them.

Video, brand, a website or a new way of working: the people involved can see it and weigh in.
