About · Founder of The Advance Crew

BombaNg’andupronounced [ wom·ba ]

I’m a dreamer, and I like to build. I started The Advance Crew so small-medium businesses have a crew that does both with them.

A bit about me.

Since I was a kid I’ve been into music, video, and storytelling.  Along the way I got just as hooked on how things run: the systems and plans that make good work easier to do. A lot of that I learned from good leaders I was lucky to work beside. The Advance Crew is where the two come together: work that tells your story, built on systems that keep it running.

I grew up in Zambia, the Netherlands, Ireland and Winnipeg. Every move meant adjusting to culture, language and a new set of rules. You learn fast that the world is bigger than the room you’re in, and that the way in is to listen first.

What I believe

Listening comes first.

The best ideas are usually already in the room.

Look at the whole picture.

An idea rarely touches just one thing, so I look at how the pieces fit.

Big ideas deserve good systems.

“Bomba ulye malelo” is Tonga for be patient, and good things follow. Good systems work the same way.

Nobody should build alone.

Every good thing I’ve been part of had good people around it.

You’ve come this far.
Let’s take it further, together.
